hello! nobody blog.. i shall blog then. since i am so free. haha.
no lar.. will be going to sydney next sat. haven started packing yet! i am so lazy.
been going out these few days..exploring the city area, taking photos..like some tourist lor!
i ate at this place called pancake manors.. pancake with choc icecream, macadamia nuts, grilled bananas and cream. soooo delicious! the pancakes buttery and nice!
just came back from Farmers' Market.. wish i could bring u there. they sell veg, fruits, meat, bread-looks so good!, pies, pancakes.. lots more stuff. very cheap as well. i think i am going to grocery shop there more in the future! tasted the yoghurt.. i don't think can get such delicious yoghurt in singapore!
ok haven talked abt life in aust right. hmm.. coming over here, i really get culture education. besides aussie culture, there are so many other internationals here. more than singapore definitely! on the bus, when people get off, they will say thank you to the bus driver. when you queue to pay for your stuff, people at the counter will ask you how you are and you are supposed to reply. sometimes a bit superficial lar.. cos the way people greet each other here is to ask 'how are you', and you are supposed to say 'good'. what if u are not leh? haha. but that's part of their culture.
some of the youths are quite wild actually. there's vandalism everywhere.. huge bold words and caricatures. just this thurs, i took bus with my fren from uni at night. there was a whole lot of students..shd be aussies..going to the city to pub i guess. they were singing loudly in the bus. the bus driver came and told them to keep quiet or get off the bus. then they started singing again, and invented a song abt nobody wants to be a bus driver. so mean right!
oh it's very dangerous to walk in chinatown at night. i did that once with my fren.. two girls lor. scary. two guys came and tried to speak jap to us thinking we are japanese. haha. another time in broad daylight somemore.. in chinatown again, they asked where we are going when we walked past them. but of course ignore them la. and they like to whistle when they drive past in cars.. just because we are asians!
guess the life here is really more relaxed than sg. after five the australians can go home, go pubs or eat out. they like to have barbeques and invite friends to their homes for dinner. like my neighbour! everytime see his high-class dining set at the balcony and his barbeque equipment, wish i had those too! and so many people i've met here are planning or applying for PRs! i won't lar.. sg has family and frens.. and sg food! haha. i think i am very fortunate to be able to experience overseas life for a while though.. really an eye-opener. and i think i've grown a lot these few months! more independent definitely! more adventurous?? haha
hey u guys shd blog about ur work and hols! update me mah:)
